Chris enjoys meeting clients and understanding their individual situations and needs in the areas estate planning, probate, real estate and business law. He focuses his practice on helping small businesses and individuals to meeting both their short term needs and achieving longer-term goals using the legal system. He also devotes considerable amount of his practice to business and farm succession planning, as well as helping families deal with nursing home costs and applying for Medical Assistance.

Chris grew up in Blaine. He served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard for five years and taught English in Japan for two years prior to attending law school. An attorney since 1997, he worked for Liberty Diversified Industries in New Hope before joining the firm in 2002.

Chris received his Bachelor’s Degree with Distinction from the United States Coast Guard Academy. He is also an honors graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School. Chris is a member of the Real Property and Probate & Trust sections of both the American and Minnesota Bar Associations. He is also a title insurance agent for Attorney’s Title Guaranty Company.

Chris has been involved with the Boy Scouts as a Troop Committee Chairman and as a Charter Organization Representative, and has also coached youth basketball. He is a Past Commander of American Legion Post 96 in Hutchinson, a Past President of the Cokato – Dassel Rotary Club, and served on the Hutchinson Charter Commission. Chris currently serves as the Post Adjutant for American Legion Post 96.

He and his wife Tracy have two children.
